Come to this fabulous condo and replenish yourself on island itinerary: Relax… Eat… Explore…then rest from a hard day at the beach. Tomorrow, repeat. In this cozy unhurried space of the world, think less crowds and more peace and quiet. Think warmer weather, striking sunsets, and strolling down miles of abandoned beach. You won’t be in any rush to go home from this island paradise, rather, you’ll long to come back to this peaceful retreat for more reasons than one, but here are a few...

1. The beach’s sand and the pool’s cool waters are, 16 seconds from your back door:
Easy access out your back door makes for mere steps away from the pool deck and beach. This unit is conveniently located just steps from one of the only complexes on this beach that have their pool deck right off the beach! Other complexes’ pools are in the middle or at the front of the complex with no views of the beach. In our complex, if you don’t want to mess with the sand and changing tides, lay out on the pool deck and feel like you’re on the beach since you’re only steps away!

In addition, we are the CLOSEST COMPLEX TO THE BEACH! Restrictions prevented other complexes from building as close to the sand dunes as we are, so we are one of only two complexes on this beach that don’t have a long boardwalk to the beach...again, just steps off the pool deck till your feet hit sand!

2. This is a High Demand Ground Floor Unit:

(A)- No stairs to battle with. Pull up five steps from your front door and unload your luggage, this unit won’t have you battling with stairs to unpack your bags and groceries.
(B)- Fast access to the beach and pool. In upstairs units to reach the pool or beach you walk down stairs and around the complex, in this unit, you open your back door and make a mad dash for the water! Perfect unit for kids, as there is green grass out your back door to play on, and kids can easily run from the pool back to the unit to get a drink, go to the bathroom, etc. with you watching them from the pool deck. Note: there is a fence surrounding the pool so young kids cannot just walk out the back door and wander into the pool area.
(C)- Master bathroom in the Master Bedroom (hard to find). We have found so many travelers are coming with friends, extended family, or children, and couples want to have their own bathroom-- not share one. Enjoy your private master bathroom in the master bedroom, and let other guests enjoy a shared bathroom next to the second bedroom.

3. Peaceful Island Homes with Great Design are Hard to Find:
This fabulous unit touts tranquil tropical decor with classic island flavor. Red Hibiscus and green palms frame your windows with the pool and beach waters beyond that, creating a peaceful, lush beach view. Layout is spacious and functional. Kitchen is fully equipped to create gourmet coastal cuisine. Living room is comfortable with big TV, or face a wall of glass to watch the sea. Private patio right out the back door with chairs to sit and relax. Master bedroom is comfortable and beautiful with large windows surrounded by tropical plants. Large king bed is comfortable and will tempt you to stay in bed all day. Master bedroom also has large closet, glider chair and ottoman, TV, plenty of storage space, and bathroom. Second bedroom has two full beds and is next to a full bathroom. This unit is also equipped with FREE secure high-speed cable wifi dedicated to this unit. Note- this unit does not have a land-line.

4. You won’t have to Angle for Space at the Beach in Front of our complex:
The locals say Crescent Beach is the way old Florida used to be-- unpretentious and uncrowded and it’s even better at the Coquina Condo Complex. In the fifteen years I’ve been coming here, I’ve never had a time where I wasn’t on the beach by myself at some point. Part of this is because the Coquina is near the middle of the beach, thus, you don’t have a lot of people coming from the public access ways. Secondly, on one side of the Coquina you have a small house, on the other side you have a small sister complex to the Coquina. In addition, the Coquina is a small complex with only half of the units available to rent, for all these reasons combined, the beach in front of the Coquina stays uncrowded for the most part.

5. Crescent Beach and St.Augustine are a Perfect Place to Please Everyone:
This stretch of beach offers a bit of everything, from shopping and nightlife, to adventure and golfing, to hundreds of restaurants with gourmet offerings from around the world, to opulent relaxation. For a list of things we’ve found in the area that we recommend to do, email me and I will send it to you.

So come unwind, embrace serenity, and invest in you in this wonderful seaside getaway at the Coquina on Crescent Beach! We’re ready when you are.

WHY COQUINA COMPLEX IS UNBEATABLE:

LESS THAN A MINUTE FROM UNIT TO BEACH:

  • We are one of only two complexes on this beach that are RIGHT ON THE BEACH-- just seven steps off the pool deck at the center of our complex to sand.

  • We built before restrictions forced everyone else to build behind the sand dunes. Thus all other complexes besides our sister property have long stretches of dunes and hard wooden boardwalks over those dunes—our “boardwalk” is made of sand.

  • We're less than 60 seconds from your door to beach, making your trek with beach gear an easy and fast one!

BEST VIEWS:

  • Being steps from the beach also means we have the best views on the beach!

  • Our unbeatable proximity to sand and water, combined with the fact that our complex is shaped like a V so that nobody blocks anyone else’s view, means our views are unrivaled by other complexes!

  • Don’t be fooled by some people’s claims to “beachfront” or to have a great  “ocean view”— our view is not a corner of the room—or hanging over a balcony to get a glimpse of water— every unit in the Coquina has panoramic views of the beach!

  • In addition bringing the sounds of the sea indoors is as easy as opening your windows or doors to hear the waves roll outside.

LESS CROWDS AT OUR COMPLEX:

  • Unlike some complexes that have hundreds of units- this complex has only 42 units, with about half of those units available to rent and the other half being people's private vacation homes that often sit vacant.  As such, you won't see hundreds of guests from this complex taking up the beach space by the condo or crowding the pool and courts.

  • We also don't rent to groups of young adults (guests under 25 years of age), thus we often have a more quiet feel than other complexes.

  • Lastly, more often than not our rentals are by the week or month, we are not like a hotel that has a new group coming to party each night.

LESS CROWDS AT OUR BEACH:

  • Combined with the fact above that our complex is small with less guests using the beach, our beach often stays slow even in busy times (if you want to feel like you own the beach, ask me when the best time to come is) for a couple of other reasons….

  • Crescent Beach is not a commercial type of beach like St. Augustine beach we only have a couple of restaurants on the north end of the beach a mile away from us, thus we don’t get crowds coming to eat and then walk on our beach, likewise we do not have stores on our small stretch of beach—though there are plenty of stores just a couple miles north of us.

  • Additionally, we have no hotels on Crescent Beach— so we don’t get nightly guest crowds and partiers coming to our beach.

  • Lastly, to the north of our complex is a private vacation home (often sitting vacant), to the south of us is our sister complex similar in size to us, thus we aren’t surrounded by complexes with hundreds of guests that fan out onto our side of the beach.

  • Even in our high season our guests comment at how slow and peaceful everything is here.

POOL AREA: We are one of the only complexes on Crescent Beach that has our pool just steps from the sand!  Why is this a big deal?  When you lay out on our loungers at the pool deck, you feel like you’re out at the beach— the waves are rolling just over your shoulders, the pelicans are soaring overhead and you can fall asleep to the ocean’s melody.  At other complexes you are surrounded by buildings and guests— here you’re surrounded by palm trees and ocean views.  No need to get sandy on the beach, be a sun worshiper from the comfort of the pool deck but still feel like you’re out at the beach!  In addition, a separate kiddie pool with one shallow depth makes for a great place for the little ones to swim without having to dive in after a child that goes too deep.

AMENITIES: Enjoy a game of tennis on our private tennis courts enclosed by thick lush foliage.  Shoot some hoops at the basketball court.  Enjoy grilling dinner on our electric grills located on the upper deck with ocean views on one side and Intracoastal waterway views on the other (grills, loungers, tables, umbrellas, and chairs are provided).  Don’t miss a chance to take in the fiery colors over the Intracoastal as the sun sinks into the water at sunset, then look over your shoulder to simultaneously watch the beach turn to a palette of pastel pinks and blues— there is no better seat on all of Crescent Beach to enjoy the sunset than on the upper deck of the Coquina with panoramic water views on each side of you!

ABOUT CRESCENT BEACH AND SURROUNDING AREA:

This condo is nestled on one of the best kept secrets in the world-- Crescent Beach found on Anastasia Island, located just 15-20 minutes from the quaint historic city of St. Augustine. Crescent Beach has been named one of the most “scenic and unspoiled beaches in Florida.”  With soft white sand to play in, shells of all sizes that come in from the waves to find, and a shallow flat coastline to play in the waves, whether you build castles, beach comb, or play in the waves— the beach will keep you busy for hours.

If you decide to leave the beach you can do so to discover over 500 restaurants, more per capita of residents than anywhere else on the east coast, you literally could not try all of St. Augustine’s restaurants in a year’s time, but we welcome you to try.  Whether you come to enjoy one of the many golf courses nearby (including TPC Sawgrass), want to try your hand at fishing on piers, from the beach, or from a boat, have an interest in the area’s many museums or love the historic area’s architecture and brick pedestrian-only streets, or prefer the shopping and foodie scene, St. Augustine is a gem that more than one guest has asked us not to share with anyone else!

If you don’t want to venture to the downtown area, the island we are situated on (Anastasia Island, which is considered part of St. Augustine proper), has enough restaurants, grocery stores, surf shops, and activities (such as Marineland where you can swim with dolphins, the Alligator Zoo where you can zip line over alligator enclosures, the famous St. Augustine lighthouse, or a multitude of recreational activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, etc.) to keep you busy. However, we find, more often than not, it is the lonely beckon call of the beach out your door that has you rebooking. Described by the locals as “the way old Florida used to be,” Crescent Beach still remains slow, quiet, and peaceful like Florida beaches once were. With soft white sand to dig your feet in, shells scattered along the water’s edge to find, sea grass waving in the ocean breeze, turtles lazily digging in the dunes, pelicans surfing the skies, and dolphins playing along the shoreline’s waves, it is this quintessential beach life that fills our souls with longing and brings us back time and time again!

In terms of specific activities (other than everything the beach in your backyard provides), there is something for every single age and interest within 5-25 minutes away from the condo including:

HISTORY: Tons of history and spectacular architecture!  We are just 15-20 minutes away from the oldest city in the nation where you will find museums, replicas of old St. Augustine where people are dressed in character and give you a guide through American history, or closer to home you can visit Fort Matanzas by boat just 5 minutes from the condo and hear the old cannons go off.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: There are recreational activities in almost every single genre: fishing (from a platoon boat on the Intracoastal, by deep sea fishing boat on the Atlantic, or try fishing off the bridges and piers or from the shore in your backyard), boating, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, renting mopeds or scoot coupes, etc.

GOLFING: There are at least five golf courses nearby ranging from the community golf course to the world famous TPC Sawgrass at the World Golf Village.

ANIMAL LOVER ACTIVITIES: There are unique activities for animal lovers: training and swimming with dolphins just five minutes from the condo at Marineland, ziplining over hundreds of alligators ten minutes away at the Alligator Farm, or visiting a privately held wild animal zoo where you can see lions hug their trainers and tigers take bubble baths just 20 minutes away.  Just out your door you will find lizards darting in your path, turtles burrowing in the dunes out your window, dolphins jumping in the shoreline, cranes and pelicans fishing for breakfast, along with plenty of animal life that washes ashore including: jellyfish, starfish, coral, crabs, we've even seen small sharks washed ashore after a big storm (I've never seen sharks swimming in the waves in the 18 years I've been here).

SHOPPING GALORE: You can spend a lot of time and even more money at two huge outlet malls just across the road from one another 20 minutes away or spend your money on local wares and gifts for people at home on the pedestrian only brick street of St. George street downtown 15-20 minutes away.  Near the condo within 5-10 minutes you have plenty of shopping at surf shops, seashell shacks, and grocery shopping at stores like Walgreens, Publix, Wynn Dixie, Family Dollar, etc.

TOURISTY STORES: Downtown historic area has all of your traditional tourist activities including a multitude of fun ways to tour the city (think chocolate and dining tours, or tours by trolley and horse carriage).  The lighthouse is an easy climb and a great way to get a panoramic view of the city and to learn about lighthouses.

MANAGER INFO:

My name is Marisa, and I am the manager that will work with you personally on your stay.  For almost two decades I have been coming to this complex as my own island retreat paradise and discovering new restaurants, taking new adventures, engaging in new experiences, and seeing the island through both tourists' and locals' eyes! Great Beach Rental

We had a very nice stay in this unit for an early spring break with my wife, son and his girlfriend. Nicely furnished, great location, beautiful view of the beach and pool. The King mattress in the master could use replacing but otherwise very comfortable. Thanks!

Everything as advertised

We were very pleased with our two week stay - only wished we had booked for a month. Many of the people staying at this place do so for at least a month or two or three!! Since they come back every year there is a real feeling of friendship between them. The condo was nicely furnished. We loved the comfortable couch and nice recliner. The dishes in the kitchen were new and everything we needed as we made most of our meals. What could be nicer than sitting on the balcony and eating breakfast etc and listening to the waves. Marissa Dye was so helpful throughout the process of booking and checking in. The unit was so quiet and peaceful - lots of motorcycles going by on the road near the condo but never heard them inside. The beach was fabulous and we spent everyday walking and enjoying. We ate a few times at the nearby Red Frog and McToad and enjoyed the food. I would highly recommend this unit.

Perfect location!

We love the St. Augustine area and this condo is in a perfect location...close to old St. Augustine, not far from Flagler Beach & Daytona Beach if you want something different. We have teenage and young adult kids that come with us and for the most part we just hang at the condo and enjoy the pool and the beach, although we visited several restaurants in the area and went parasailing in Daytona Beach, too! Definitely coming back next year!

WOW, we came in after 5pm and it had been raining. To open the door without having to get a key an to see that the lights were on to welcome us. Very inviting to be "at home" it was clean, it had all we needed as for towels, extra blankets (if needed), a well arranged kitchen items with even a book of matches to lite a small candle on table. We enjoyed our time at this condo. We will return SOON, thank you Marisa for answering my questions, making the arrangement as easy as possible.

Perfect Property!!!

We loved our stay at the Coqiuna condos ! The first floor unit with pool and ocean views exceeded our expectations. We felt comfortable the moment we walked in. Comfortable furnishings and a well stocked kitchen. Morning sunrise walks on the beach, the unique shells (beach treasures) that wash up every day. Breakfast at the condo & then off to St. Augustine or one of the many state parks in the area. So many things to do for all ages just a short drive from the Coquina. Afternoons spent at the pool or on the beach picking up more shells. The condo has beach chairs, towels, beach toys for children & beach umbrellas. The sand on the St. Augustine area beaches is amazing, walk, ride a bicycle, you'll enjoy it. Saw dolphins several times on our walks down the beach. Love swimming in the ocean and riding the waves. The condo property and beach were pleasantly quiet and well cared for. If you plan on doing all or most of your meals at the condo there are also barbecue grills, tables & chairs located on a second floor deck with a view of the ocean as well as sunset to the west. We truly enjoyed sitting outside the sliding glass doors of the condo in the early morning with coffee or in the evening relaxing to the sights and sounds of the ocean. Many thanks to Property Manager, Marisa. She made the scheduling and "paperwork" easy and through her communications we had no questions throughout our stay. The restaurant recommendations were great as well as several local spots we found on our own. We would recommend this property to people of all ages with or without children. We plan on returning to the Coquina again in the spring & fall of 2016.

Fantastic Week

This was our first visit to Coquina Condos and we were not disappointed. Scheduling our stay was a breeze thanks to Marisa. The ground floor condo unit made accessibility to the beach and pool so easy. We have been to St. Augustine many times and there are many places to visit in close proximity. We simply enjoyed the private quietness of the beach and never left the area except to shop for groceries and venture into St. Augustine one evening for dinner. We truly wanted to "get away from it all" and this was the perfect place. Because we drove we brought beach items, but surprisingly our condo had chairs, umbrellas, towels, and beach toys which would make it very convenient for families who can't bring them. The kitchen was well equipped and there were two gas barbecue grills located upstairs with tables, chairs and umbrellas for grilling and eating, beautiful view, too. We stayed a week but needed two!!! There is always next year and we will definitely be back.

Simply heaven!

Another wonderful stay at the Coquina condos! Thank you to Marisa for making the process smooth and easy, her communication and follow through is exceptional. This ground floor unit was perfect for our family. The décor and furnishings are comfortable and ensure that you have everything you need for the beach, cooking, and just relaxing. Restaurant recommendations were great. We had a relaxing time at Crescent Beach and also took time to explore nearby Vilano Beach. We saw dolphins, enjoyed a local Eco tour and of tour and the kids really enjoyed Crocodile Crossing obstacle/ zip line course over the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. We will definitely return and highly recommend the Coquina Condos for family vacations.
