Welcome to what just could be Coastal Living Magazines next “Best Beach-Front Cottage.” 100% remodeled in 2017 with high-end materials, designer finishes, and magazine worthy decor.

Staying here will feel like you’ve stepped out of the pages of the magazine into a condo just steps off Crescent Beach’s soft white sugary sands. We are the closest complex to the beach, 1 of only 2 that don’t have a long boardwalk, and we are just 15 minutes from downtown historic St. Augustine.

Among some of the spectacular high end design features throughout you will find: white cottage plank ceiling, faux weathered wood tile, quartz counters, subway tile, stainless steel appliances, plus all new modern lighting, doors, linens, and decor.

Unit Layout and Features

MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM: Just off your right from the entry to wash off the day’s sand you will find the main floor bathroom with glass enclosed walk-in shower highlighting marble-like subway tiles.

KITCHEN/DINING: The most seasoned chefs as well as the the casual cook will be delighted to find an outfitted kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances, gorgeous quartz counters, clean white subway tiles, and plenty of storage space in the full size pantry. We even have beach-front views to take in as you cook. Coastal white pottery dishes fill the glass-front cabinets along with a casual marine blue melamine set so you can enjoy either one. Between the kitchen and living room is your dining area with a cottage pedestal table with seating for four and additional seating at the bar (could be brought over to the table as well to seat a total of six).

LIVING ROOM: In a wide open space to allow for memorable happy gatherings with your family and friends you will find the living room is just off the dining/kitchen. In the living room you won’t be sure whether you want to curl up on the new leather sofa or oversized slipcovered chair to stare out the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors out at the beach in your backyard, or to enjoy the entertainment the 55” smart TV with HD cable, DVR, and On Demand access provides.

VIEWS & PRIVATE BALCONY: Off your living room is your own private balcony with counter height adirondak chairs to maximize the stunning views including the beautifully manicured grounds dotted with palm trees and Hibiscus, the sparkling blue of the pool, and of course the soft white sand and the rolling ocean waves. Be prepared to take many a photo with striking morning sunrises and pallets of warm pink and orange when the sun goes down. You may even spot a dolphin or two in the waves. Bring a book and a drink to enjoy on the outdoor chairs and table provided for your relaxation and beach viewing enjoyment.

MASTER BEDROOM: The master bedroom is your quintessential magazine-worthy coastal cottage look with plank ceiling and striking accent wall done in shiplap. The soft tones of the bedding and decor mimic the crystal fine sands of the beach and gray blue of the waves and sky on an overcast day. Put up your feet and sink into an overstuffed chair in the corner of the room; wrap up in a soft cable-knit blanket and read from the pages of the magazine made up from condos like this, or ignore everyone and everything as you drink in the panoramic beach views from a wall of windows! When the sun disappears and you can no longer watch the waves roll onto the sand, you will enjoy a 50” smart TV with HD cable, DVR, and On Demand access to free movies and shows.

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM: In the upstairs bathroom located between the master bedroom and second bedroom you will enjoy a neutral clean color palette giving the space a modern cottage feel with a glass enclosed shower/tub finished with contemporary subway tile, sconces on either side of the mirror against a plank wood wall, white cottage cabinets and marble looking quartz counter tops.

SECOND BEDROOM: Enjoy a Coastal Maine look in this room with bright pops of color and maritime design. Located next to the bathroom and across from the master, you can easily sleep four in this room with two full beds. Sink into the soft mattresses lined with high-end 3 inch thick foam pads. Enjoy a 43” smart TV that can be used to hook up to your gaming systems or used to access internet and various video apps (your Netflix, Amazon Video accounts, etc.— no cable wired for this room). There is also a door that walks out to a third floor walkway where you can enjoy the sun setting over the Intracoastal Waterway.

One Minute to the Sea and Just Fifteen Minutes from Downtown St. Augustine: Why the Coquina Condo Complex is Unbeatable:

LESS THAN A MINUTE FROM UNIT TO BEACH:

  • We are one of only two complexes on this beach that are RIGHT ON THE BEACH-- just seven steps off the pool deck at the center of our complex to sand.

  • We built before restrictions forced everyone else to build behind the sand dunes. Thus all other complexes besides our sister property have long stretches of dunes and hard wooden boardwalks over those dunes—our “boardwalk” is made of sand.

  • We're less than 60 seconds from your door to beach, making your trek with beach gear an easy and fast one!

BEST VIEWS:

  • Being steps from the beach also means we have the best views on the beach!

  • Our unbeatable proximity to sand and water, combined with the fact that our complex is shaped like a U so that nobody blocks anyone else’s view, means our views are unrivaled by other complexes!

  • Don’t be fooled by some people’s claims to “beachfront” or to have a great  “ocean view”— our view is not a corner of the room—or hanging over a balcony to get a glimpse of water— every unit in the Coquina has panoramic views of the beach!

  • In addition bringing the sounds of the sea indoors is as easy as opening your windows or doors to hear the waves roll outside.

LESS CROWDS AT OUR COMPLEX:

  • Unlike some complexes that have hundreds of units- this complex has only 43 units, with about half of those units available to rent and the other half being people's private vacation homes that often sit vacant.  As such, you won't see hundreds of guests from this complex taking up the beach space by the condo or crowding the pool and courts.

  • We also don't rent to groups of young adults (guests under 25 years of age), thus we often have a more quiet feel than other complexes.

  • Lastly, more often than not our rentals are by the week or month, we are not like a hotel that has a new group coming to party each night.

LESS CROWDS AT OUR BEACH:

  • Combined with the fact above that our complex is small with less guests using the beach, our beach often stays slow even in busy times (if you want to feel like you own the beach, ask me when the best time to come is) for a couple of other reasons….

  • Crescent Beach is not a commercial type of beach like St. Augustine beach we only have a couple of restaurants on the north end of the beach a mile away from us, thus we don’t get crowds coming to eat and then walk on our beach, likewise we do not have stores on our small stretch of beach—though there are plenty of stores just a couple miles north of us.

  • Additionally, we have no hotels on Crescent Beach— so we don’t get nightly guest crowds and partiers coming to our beach.

  • Lastly, to the north of our complex is a private vacation home (often sitting vacant), to the south of us is our sister complex similar in size to us, thus we aren’t surrounded by complexes with hundreds of guests that fan out onto our side of the beach.

  • Even in our high season our guests comment at how slow and peaceful everything is here.

POOL AREA: We are one of the only complexes on Crescent Beach that has our pool just steps from the sand!  Why is this a big deal?  When you lay out on our loungers at the pool deck, you feel like you’re out at the beach— the waves are rolling just over your shoulders, the pelicans are soaring overhead and you can fall asleep to the ocean’s melody.  At other complexes you are surrounded by buildings and guests— here you’re surrounded by palm trees and ocean views.  No need to get sandy on the beach, be a sun worshiper from the comfort of the pool deck but still feel like you’re out at the beach!  In addition, a separate kiddie pool with one shallow depth makes for a great place for the little ones to swim without having to dive in after a child that goes too deep.

AMENITIES: Enjoy a game of tennis on our private tennis courts enclosed by thick lush foliage.  Shoot some hoops at the basketball court.  Enjoy grilling dinner on our electric grills located on the upper deck with ocean views on one side and Intracoastal waterway views on the other (grills, loungers, tables, umbrellas, and chairs are provided).  Don’t miss a chance to take in the fiery colors over the Intracoastal as the sun sinks into the water at sunset, then look over your shoulder to simultaneously watch the beach turn to a palette of pastel pinks and blues— there is no better seat on all of Crescent Beach to enjoy the sunset than on the upper deck of the Coquina with panoramic water views on each side of you!

ABOUT CRESCENT BEACH AND SURROUNDING AREA:

This condo is nestled on one of the best kept secrets in the world-- Crescent Beach found on Anastasia Island, located just 15-20 minutes from the quaint historic city of St. Augustine. Crescent Beach has been named one of the most “scenic and unspoiled beaches in Florida.”  With soft white sand to play in, shells of all sizes that come in from the waves to find, and a shallow flat coastline to play in the waves, whether you build castles, beach comb, or play in the waves— the beach will keep you busy for hours.

If you decide to leave the beach you can do so to discover over 500 restaurants, more per capita of residents than anywhere else on the east coast, you literally could not try all of St. Augustine’s restaurants in a year’s time, but we welcome you to try.  Whether you come to enjoy one of the many golf courses nearby (including TPC Sawgrass), want to try your hand at fishing on piers, from the beach, or from a boat, have an interest in the area’s many museums or love the historic area’s architecture and brick pedestrian-only streets, or prefer the shopping and foodie scene, St. Augustine is a gem that more than one guest has asked us not to share with anyone else!

If you don’t want to venture to the downtown area, the island we are situated on (Anastasia Island, which is considered part of St. Augustine proper), has enough restaurants, grocery stores, surf shops, and activities (such as Marineland where you can swim with dolphins, the Alligator Zoo where you can zip line over alligator enclosures, the famous St. Augustine lighthouse, or a multitude of recreational activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, etc.) to keep you busy. However, we find, more often than not, it is the lonely beckon call of the beach out your door that has you rebooking. Described by the locals as “the way old Florida used to be,” Crescent Beach still remains slow, quiet, and peaceful like Florida beaches once were. With soft white sand to dig your feet in, shells scattered along the water’s edge to find, sea grass waving in the ocean breeze, turtles lazily digging in the dunes, pelicans surfing the skies, and dolphins playing along the shoreline’s waves, it is this quintessential beach life that fills our souls with longing and brings us back time and time again!

In terms of specific activities (other than everything the beach in your backyard provides), there is something for every single age and interest within 5-25 minutes away from the condo including:

HISTORY: Tons of history and spectacular architecture!  We are just 15-20 minutes away from the oldest city in the nation where you will find museums, replicas of old St. Augustine where people are dressed in character and give you a guide through American history, or closer to home you can visit Fort Matanzas by boat just 5 minutes from the condo and hear the old cannons go off.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: There are recreational activities in almost every single genre: fishing (from a platoon boat on the Intracoastal, by deep sea fishing boat on the Atlantic, or try fishing off the bridges and piers or from the shore in your backyard), boating, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, renting mopeds or scoot coupes, etc.

GOLFING: There are at least five golf courses nearby ranging from the community golf course to the world famous TPC Sawgrass at the World Golf Village.

ANIMAL LOVER ACTIVITIES: There are unique activities for animal lovers: training and swimming with dolphins just five minutes from the condo at Marineland, ziplining over hundreds of alligators ten minutes away at the Alligator Farm, or visiting a privately held wild animal zoo where you can see lions hug their trainers and tigers take bubble baths just 20 minutes away.  Just out your door you will find lizards darting in your path, turtles burrowing in the dunes out your window, dolphins jumping in the shoreline, cranes and pelicans fishing for breakfast, along with plenty of animal life that washes ashore including: jellyfish, starfish, coral, crabs, we've even seen small sharks washed ashore after a big storm (I've never seen sharks swimming in the waves in the 18 years I've been here).

SHOPPING GALORE: You can spend a lot of time and even more money at two huge outlet malls just across the road from one another 20 minutes away or spend your money on local wares and gifts for people at home on the pedestrian only brick street of St. George street downtown 15-20 minutes away.  Near the condo within 5-10 minutes you have plenty of shopping at surf shops, seashell shacks, and grocery shopping at stores like Walgreens, Publix, Wynn Dixie, Family Dollar, etc.

TOURISTY STORES: Downtown historic area has all of your traditional tourist activities including a multitude of fun ways to tour the city (think chocolate and dining tours, or tours by trolley and horse carriage).  The lighthouse is an easy climb and a great way to get a panoramic view of the city and to learn about lighthouses.

Easy to Book and Hands-On Boutique Management Style

Knowledgeable Manager: My name is Marisa, and I am the owner of St. Augustine Stays.  For over two decades I have been coming to this beach as a tourist/guest--I understand what guests want for a perfect island retreat and love to help guests come to know and love this area as much as I do.

Constant Communication: Information emailed throughout the process of what to expect for check-in, what to pack, and area suggestions and information.

High-end only units: I specialize in ONLY higher end units--we don’t take on units in need of heavy renovations.  We also provide: newer, clean white linens for all our units, including beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella.

Electronic Locks: All units have electronic locks with codes that will be emailed to you, so no need to stop in at offices late at night and pick up keys or keep track of keys at the beach and pool.

So come, accept our invitation, come to what will feel like home and make you never want to leave!  Click on the book it now button to and take five minutes to book one of your most memorable vacations ever!

Fabulous Beach Cottage... Immaculent, Clean and Great Beach Views !

My stay at The Coquina Cottage was Absolutely Wonderful. Here is what I found so wonderful: It's newly restored, so the entire interior of this condo is 100% new, immaculate, and clean. The View, the view, THE VIEW from the private balcony ! Beds are luxurious, with extra foam. Nice new TV's with lots of cable channels. Free Wi-Fi. Bedrooms are upstairs, which is especially nice if everyone doesn’t go to bed or wake at the same time. When I walked into the unit, It looked like the pages of my shabby chic magazine ! My favorite spot is the private balcony, with the beautiful view, and the sounds of the ocean. The Balcony was shaded, which was nice. The more I sat on the balcony (I loved their chairs!), the more I fell in love with the complex. It’s just the right size place. I don’t like staying at big beach complexes. This one is not too crowded, because not all of the units are rentals. It had the right mix of young and older people, not too much of one or the other. I can see the pool and the ocean from the balcony, and I don’t have to walk too far to get to either one, and that’s a great thing! The kitchen was great with everything we needed to cook a nice meal, and the dishwasher was so quiet, I didn’t even hear it running. Large Keurig Coffee pot, and regular coffee maker also. I also have to mention the big upstairs deck area that was a few steps down from our doorway… it had 2 electric grills, tables and chairs, and more of that great view - ocean view on one side and intracoastal view on the other side. I have decided I’m not staying at any other beach condo than this one. It has just the right feel. I honestly didn’t want to leave, and I can’t wait to go back ! Other useful info: It’s 45 min from Jacksonville – Great shopping, check out their Town Center. It’s 15 min from St Augustine—The nation’s oldest City, Lots to see there, and lots of restaurants. It’s 20 min away from St. Augustine Outlets… this is really great outlet shopping. Also close for lots of other day trips such as Daytona or Orlando.

This place was absolutely perfect!

First rate renovated 2nd floor condo overlooking the ocean - very tastefully decorated and well appointed. Extremely comfortable bedding. Pool right on the ocean - easy access to everything. Property manager was accessible, responsive and quite pleasant to deal with. Couldn't ask for more.

Amazing Oceanfront Paradise!

The condo is absolutely gorgeous, right out of a magazine. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. The living room furniture is comfortable and opening the balcony doors allows for some nice evening relaxation listening to the waves crash. Everything was so fresh and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Lots to do in the area is just a short drive away. Highly recommend this condo or any condo from this management company.

Overall this place had everything you need for an amazing vacation. The only complaint was thatthe fire detector was not on wall and battery was out of it when we arrived. Also no blinds or drapes on second bedroom window . The light from outside was very bright coming in. This condo was clean and beautiful. Also supplies were included. Chairs, cleaner, towels etc.

I am so glad you had an amazing vacation and that this is the BEST condo you've ever stayed in. We love to hear that. Thank you also for letting us know about the fire detector, we have addressed that now. The owners just finished this complete remodel and then we have almost completely filled up the calendar with back to back bookings since it is so beautiful and has quickly become a high demand unit, so I imagine they will be addressing the second bedroom draperies when they have a chance to go back in. I have forwarded your suggestion on to them and again thank you for your feedback, it's always nice to know how to improve.
